but what is it?
I am using the platform of gaming as a way to generate spontaneously formed audio and visual compositions - this is a form of algorithmic composition. Just by navigating the environment and colliding with the various objects, audio events and other interactions are triggered. In this version there are four different classes of objects: blue blocks, white spheres, black cones, and yellow bars. Each class can be considered a separate 'track' or 'channel' with its own unique shape, colour, collection of sounds, and interaction dynamics. Each collection of objects also form their own network. All of the objects have been distributed in a way that covers the entire game play area uniformly but in an imprecise manner - a 'roughly even scattering'. These networks will become more important as this work progresses. This is the first game I have produced. To make it, I used the Godot game engine (FOSS).
